Such a nice cozy vibe, great food and prices. Can’t wait to make this a common part of my Sunday routine.

One of the best places in Glasgow to try Asian food. We tried chicken spring roll, Thai green curry and mixed fried rice. Everything was prepared from scratch and taste was exceptional. I would highly recommend trying this hidden gem!

Derek Jarman once remarked of Glasgow that preserved in this city is a pace of life increasingly being lost to the hustle and bustle of our postmodern urban landscapes, one that makes neither hurry nor apology for for this lack of urgency. Cafe Niu is one such bastion of this resistance to the incitement of haste instilled in us by neoliberalism and its obsession with Progress. This is not to say that the service here is poor, indeed the atmosphere is such that, what would feel like an interminable wait in most other establishments, instead feels like the gift of lost time taken back. Simply, a chance to sit and enjoy. And enjoy you will! Because the fare on offer is both reasonably priced (£2 for a filled roll in this economy!) and delicious. Without wishing to give too many recommendations (the menu is best experienced as a series of pleasant surprises), the handmade spring rolls really hit that sweet spot of deep fried satisfaction without feeling greasy. If you see this spot open it is a must visit.

I really love this place, the owner is lovely, there is a surprisingly wide variety of food and drinks on offer, and the cafe is very cute! The breakfast was great value for money, and I feel like they went the extra mile to accommodate us when we asked for an iced coffee, which we were very grateful for on a hot day!

Brilliant place. Offering breakfast and lunch. As well as nice cafe breakfasts they also have a great choice of really delicious Malaysian main courses that are well worth trying.
